A reminder that there are lots of vehicles parked in the downtown area of Adel today for one organization that is helping to support a worthy cause. 

The 15th Annual Dallas County Sheriff’s All-Wheel Show is happening today from 10am-3pm at the Downtown Square in Adel. The event supports Special Olympics Iowa and Dallas County Sergeant Ray Dirksen tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the show features up to 150 cars. He mentions that the event brought in $10,000 last year. 

Dirksen says he loves being apart of an event that focuses on a worthy cause. The Adel Fire Department will be cooking a variety of meats for the car show. Judging will be from 1-2pm with awards at 2:30pm. There will be multiple awards given out during the show including Best of Show and Special Olympics Choice.
