Wednesday, May 22nd
12:13am: A Traffic Stop near Olive and Russell Streets resulted in Alysha Steece of Jefferson being cited for, “Driving While Suspended and Fail to Obey Stop Sign.”
1:52am: Dallas County requested officers to look for a Stop and Hold Vehicle from Dallas County. The vehicle was not located in Jefferson.
7:40am: Oly’s Corner reported a Gas Drive Off from 208 West Lincoln Way Street. The officer located the reported subject, who returned and paid for the fuel.
7:45am: Lisa Garnett reported a Speeding Vehicle near Grimmell and Central Streets.
11:49am: Bob Smith requested a Welfare Check on a subject in the 200 Block of South Chestnut Street. Officers made contact with the subject, who advised he was fine.
1:19pm: Dispatch advised of an Open 911 call from the area of the 100 Block of Ram Drive. The officer did not locate anyone in the area.
3:55pm: Abby Russell spoke with an officer to gather answers to a Civil Question.
3:55pm: Officers assisted the Sheriff’s Office with taking a subject into custody, by Court Order, in the 400 Block of East McKinley Street.
6:29pm: A caller reported Narcotic Activity occurring in the 500 Block of West Reed Street.
8:44pm: A late report came in on a child being injured by a vehicle at 510 North Pinet Street. The event had occurred an hour earlier. A child was sitting on the power poles, which separate parking spots. A vehicle pulled up and struck the pole, causing the child to fall off. The officer spoke to a parent, who advised the child was not seriously injured. The vehicle had left the area.
Thursday, May 23rd
6:14am: Abi Winkleman reported a toddler walking in the street near Walnut and Lincoln Way Street. Officers found the parents of the toddler sleeping in a nearby residence and returned the child. DHS has been notified by the officer.
8:27am: Dan Methaler reported a Stray Dog in his yard at 307 South Chestnut Street. The animal’s owner arrived and took custody of the animal.
11:30am: Officers provided assistance with a Funeral Escort.
3:07pm: Emily Hayes reported a Careless Driver near Elm and Wilson Ave.
4:41pm: Glenis Aguilar reported her juvenile daughter had been threatened by another student at School. The officer is investigating.
8:26pm: Levi Helms reported a Speeding Driver in the 600 Block of South Wilson Ave. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.
Friday, May 24th
4:21am:, An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 1800 Doreen Wilbur Drive. The facility was secure.
4:29am: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 208 West Lincoln Way Street. All was fine.
7:24am: Noah Burton requested a Welfare Check on a male subject in the 1000 Block of West Adams Street. Officers made contact and learned the subject was fine.
9:56am: Rachel McCarty reported a Careless Driver near Elm and Head Streets.
2:06pm: Jenn Dwinell reported a missing bike from 401 East Russell Street. The bike was later returned.
3:44pm: James Timmons reported a possible No Contact Order Violation. The officer determined a violation had not occurred.
4:30pm: Lisa Mobley reported a male subject with a metal detector digging holes in Washington Park. The officer did not locate the subject.
9:10pm: Ren Norgart reported a group of juveniles involved in a Fight in Progress at Russell Park. The officer arrived and spoke to parents, who had handled the issue.
Saturday, May 25th
1:41am: Scott Broadbent reported an Alarm Activation at 106 West Washington Street. The officer determined everything was fine and re-set the alarm.
2:23am: Crystal Beyers requested an officer at 113 North Chestnut for an Unruly Patron. The officer diffused the issue.
9:12am: An officer provided a rear escort for riders on the BRAG Ride to the area of the airport.
3:46pm: Tyler Rysavy spoke to an officer in connection to a No Contact Order.
5:35pm: An officer assisted with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of North Cedar Street.
7:50pm: Jeremy Orfield reported being Harassed by a known female as he walked near Maple and Park Streets. The officer is investigating.
Sunday, May 26th
6:15pm: Amanda Friedle reported a Careless Driver on 220th Street, west of Jefferson.
7:02pm: Tyler Rysavy reported a screaming child near 306 East Lincoln Way. The officer located the upset child and a parent and spoke to them.
9:19pm: A caller reported a group of juveniles near the fenced area of Murphy’s Meats, located at 210 West Washington Street. The officer located the youths a block away and spoke to them about the issue.
10:32pm: An officer assisted a Conservation Officer at Henderson Park.
11:54pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 500 Block of North Cedar Street.
Monday, May 27th
8:55am: An officer removed a deceased cat from the roadway near Elm and Oak Streets.
12:06pm: Erin Murphy reported a southbound Careless Driver on Hwy. 4, north of Jefferson.
12:14pm: Tori McConnell reported a Stray Dog at 505 East Wilcox Way. The officer placed the dog in the Animal Holding Facility.
5:41pm: Jean Meiner reported a neighbor attempting to poison her cats. The officer did not find any evidence of this occurring.
7:46pm: Dennis Smith reported a vehicle parked in an alley in the 100 Block of North Cedar Street. The officer spoke to the owner, who moved the vehicle.
10:25pm: Felisha Nelson reported a subject would not give her vehicle keys to her at 407 East State Street. The officer is working to speak to the other party involved.
