While there has already been some crazy weather for Central Iowa in the past week, there are more systems coming in this weekend.

National Weather Service Meteorologist Andrew Ansorge says that storm systems will be moving into the area tonight. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that those storms will go into tomorrow morning as well, and shares what people can expect.

“There is a risk of severe weather there. Like I said, it’s maybe a few strong to severe thunderstorms, probably looking at mostly some small hail or maybe some gusty winds as that comes through. Probably not to the extent that we saw Friday morning early before the pre-dawn hours.”

Ansorge mentions that there should be a break in the storms during the day Sunday, but that there is a slight chance for some precipitation going into Monday.
