The West Central Valley Wildcat softball team had their season opener against the Panorama Panthers, resulting in a high scoring game for both teams. However, the Wildcats scored 3 runs in the seventh, to solidify a 12-10 victory over the Panthers. Meleah Speichinger started on the mound for the Wildcats, only allowing 1 run with notching in 3 strike outs. Senior Ella Sand would come in to relieve, pitching 5 and 2/3 innings while notching in 8 strike outs. However, the Panthers did seem to have her number at times, as reached an ERA of 8.65 during this outing against the Panthers.
The Wildcats managed to score in every innings except for the 3rd, notching in 12 runs to defeat the Panorama Panthers, 12-10.
