An organization is going to be holding a discussion on Wednesday in regards to the Tyson Foods shutdown in Perry.
According to PerryNext, a collaboration between the city, county, state officials, and local businesses, the panel will be giving insights on the economic impact and community support following Tyson’s closure at the end of June. The organization entails that the discussion will focus on five main areas including a pork industry update, PerryNext’s response, addressing workforce issues, community resources, and business attraction and marketing efforts.
The event is happening Wednesday at 5:30pm at La Poste, 1219 Warford Street, in Perry and is open to the public.
