The Bluejays have had a long layoff since their last game on May 9th.  The regular season concluded with a loss to West Central Valley in penalty kicks.  Perry had last week off thanks to being the top seed in the 2A substate 7 pod.  The top spot rewarded them with an opening round bye and they will get to host the entire substate portion of the playoffs.  Coach Overla and the boys are coming off a good week of practice as well as a scrimmage with the JV Johnston team.

Perry will now host the 4 seed Grinnell tomorrow night at 7P.  The Tigers beat Ballard last week, 3-2, to advance into this matchup.  The winner will advance into the finals and take on the winner of Humboldt/Greene County.  The championship game is scheduled for Wednesday night.
