The AC/GC Chargers are competing at the Iowa State High School Track Meet today.

They competed in four events yesterday, with the shuttle hurdle and 4X800 meter relay teams, along with Eli Madsen in the 200 meter dash and Andrew Mahaffey in the 3200 meter race. Unfortunately, while the shuttle hurdle team finished in a good spot, they were disqualified, with one of the runner’s leaving the blocks before the runner before him made it to the area he was supposed to.

Eli Madsen was unable to advance from the 200 meter primaries, finishing in 19th place with a time of 22.93 seconds. Andrew Mahaffey was able to secure some points for the team, finishing in 7th place with a time of 9 minutes 49.95 seconds in the 3200 meter run. The 4X800 meter relay team finished 12th overall, with a time of 8 minutes 26.47 seconds.

Today, Lance Bunde is competing in the high jump for the boys, with both teams competing in the distance medley relay. Brexton and Treyton Schneider also take on the 110 high hurdles, with the boys 4X200, 4X100 and 4X400 meter relay teams also competing. Tune in tomorrow for results from today.
