Track

The state track meet begins today and runs through Saturday with athletes participating that represent Perry and Adel-DeSoto-Minburn.

Perry will be featuring the girls distance medley relay composed of Cate Erickson, Treasure Moore, Taryn Nehring, and Lily Myers, who’ll be running at 9:20am tomorrow. The Bluejays are also taking Owen Myers competing in the 400 meter hurdles tomorrow at 12:30pm.

For ADM, they are also represented well with the boys team taking Kyler Chapman and Will Grasty in the boys high jump, Brevin Doll and Aiden Flora in the 200 meters dash, Drew Hickey in the discus throw and shot put, Cameron Forgy in the boys 400 meters, and Tyler Gelhaar in the long jump. In addition, Corbin Reed and Luke Krantz will be participating in the 110 Meter Hurdles, and Zach Lohmann in the 400 meter low hurdles. In the relays, ADM will feature the boys shuttle hurdle relay, boys distance medley, boys sprint relays, the 4×200, 4×100, and 4×400.

For the girls, the Tigers have Kennedy Stanford in the shot put, Lauren Hagedorn and Taylor Braun in the discus throw, London Warmuth in the long jump, Jada Grove and Jordis Ichelson in the 100 meter dash, and Madelyn Roundcount in the 400 meter dash. ADM also has Aniston Tollari and Calli Seehase in the girls long jump, Madi James and Elise Coghlan in the 400 meter hurdles, and Cora Shirley-Brown in the girls 1500 meter run. The relays include the girls shuttle hurdle relay, the 4×800 meter relay, girls distance medley, 4×200, 4×100, and the 4×400.

The state track meet will be held at Drake University today through Saturday with Raccoon Valley Radio making live reports throughout the three-day meet.
