The West Central Valley School Board meets in regular session today.

The Board will start with a public hearing regarding the 2023-24 budget amendment, then enter the regular session. They will hear administrative and financial reports, then consider for approval the contract recommendations of Carol Gawronski as an elementary teacher, Tricia Foster as the Food Service Supervisor and Donny Teague as a paraeducator.

The Board will then elect their Vice President, and discuss the district six vacancy, before considering for approval the Guthrie County Hazard Mitigation Plan. They will also hold the second reading of a policy regarding purchasing, bidding, suspension and debarment of vendors and contractors, and consider for approval a resolution for contract and bonds, 2024-25 milk and bread bids and Authentic Intellectual Work Institute contract.

The Board will consider for approval Kids Campus Contracts for the summer of 2024 and the 2024-25 school year, the school resource officer (SRO) agreement which was approved by the City of Stuart May 13th, and the building automation system for Dexter Elementary. They will also consider for approval an adjustment of $1.50/hour for eligible paraeducators and discuss girls soccer before entering into an exempt negotiations session.
