The summer months are rapidly approaching and the Perry Public Library is gearing up with fun events.
Youth Services Librarian Laura Pieper calls Kids Fest the kickoff to the summer reading program. She reveals that the event is happening this year on June 1st, as it’s always on the first Saturday in June. Pieper details that there will be face painting, balloon making, a foam blaster, and more. The event is free of charge and families are invited to attend.
In addition to that, Mindy Farmer, who serves as the Adult Services Librarian, notes that there are programs tailored towards the adults as well.
“You can track reading, do activities, win prizes, and I (Farmer) have some really different activities for adults coming up.”
Farmer says that registration will begin on Monday either online or in person at the library. Any questions may be directed to the Perry Library at (515)-465-3569.
