Dallas Center – Grimes boys and girls track and field have had a very productive season so far and with the home stretch coming up will be looking to build upon that.

In the most recent conference meet, the girls were able to get a 3rd place finish with a team score of 68 and the boys a 4th place finish with a team score of 79.

The boys 4×800 team placed first with a time of 8 minutes 17 seconds. Elias Arbuckle was able to be the champion in the 3200 meter run with a time of 9 minutes 44 seconds. DCG was also able to find multiple top three efforts in various categories.

The girls 4×800 meter teams was able to grab a first place finish with a time of 10 minutes 3 seconds.

Both programs will have more races coming up in the future, and with the state meet a few weeks away, will be looking to continue to peak at the right time.
