This Saturday the Adair County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will be hosting workshops for two county and state fair events.

Youth Coordinator Caroline Savage says that they will be at The Gathering Place in Greenfield for the 4-H table setting and clothing selection workshops, and will be providing lunch as well. The table setting workshop will be from 9-11:30am, where interested 4-H’ers will be able to learn the proper way to set a table. The participants for the workshop will then get to practice what they learned and set some tables for lunch, which will be from 11:30am to 12:30pm. Once lunch is over, the clothing selection workshop will begin, and go from 12:30-2:30pm.

Savage mentions that this is a good way to learn and practice, as the Adair County Fair is now only a few months away. She adds that parents may attend as well. Savage asks that those interested please let the Extension Office know by emailing them at xadair@iastate.edu so that they can get a head count for how much food they need to have catered.
