The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Soccer team has won seven of their first eight games, and Head Coach Tom Horton is optimistic that the best is still yet to come.

The Tigers are sitting third in the Raccoon River Conference with a 7-1 record overall (2-1 RRC) but have lost a couple of major players to injury. Seniors Peyton Meier and Carson Kay are dealing with injuries that have forced them to miss some time. Coach Horton tells Raccoon Valley Radio that ADM is a possession based team, emphasizing that they like to hold onto the ball longer than the opponent to control the game. He talks about key areas that the team needs to execute to play at their full potential.

“Making the right choices when in possession, finding the right paths, being patient when necessary, being aggressive when necessary.”

Horton reveals that he’s doing his best to keep the boys locked in every game and trusts each of his players to make plays. ADM will be on the road this Thursday in Winterset taking on the Huskies.
