The Greene County boys were at Gilbert and the girls were in Urbandale at Des Moines Christian in Monday high school track & field.
First place finishes for the Greene County boys came from sophomore Broc Stream in the long jump at 18′ 10-1/2″. There were no second place finishes from the Greene County boys. The Rams finished in sixth place among eight team with 47 points. Gilbert was the winner at 141 with Iowa Falls-Alden second with 122 points. North Polk (Alleman) had 71 points with 68 by Ames, 55 for South Hamilton (Jewell), 47 for the Rams with 32 points by Ogden, and 18 from Van Meter.
Greene County girls had a first place finish in the sprint medley relay in 2:00.74 with sophomores Addison Gannon, Lila Osterson, Savannah Lansman, and Kaycee Pittman. Junior Daniele Madsen won the shot put at 32′ 9″ with Pittman winning the 400 meter hurdles in 1:14.04. Junior Hailey Carman was second in the 800 meter run in 1:08.84 and junior Emma Ewalt was runner-up at 99 feet, 4 inches in the discus throw. DMC won the team title with 195 points and the Rams were second at 128. Baxter had 123 with 117 for West Central Valley (Stuart), 93 by Ankeny Christian, and 18 for Twin Cedars (Bussey).
