Earth Day is on Monday and the Dallas County Conservation Board is holding an event to coincide with it.

The public is invited to help clean up trash at the North Raccoon River Wildlife Area Snyder Tract, Lexington Lane, in Minburn. Outreach Coordinator Sarah McKeever tells Raccoon Valley Radio that interesting items can be found during the cleanup.

“You can find some interesting garbage as odd as that sounds, and it just feels great to give back and spend your time cleaning our land and our waterways.”

McKeever notes that the conservation board will have gloves and trashbags available for participants to use. Participants don’t need to register, but to wear comfortable clothing and dress for the weather. The event on Monday is free and will be held from 10:30am-12pm.
