Greene County Community Foundation

The Greene County Community Foundation is hosting its annual Grant Award Ceremony later this week.

The event will be held this Sunday at 4pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Jefferson. The non-profit organization has already notified the recipients of their grants, which were projects that were under $35,000. Jefferson Matters Executive Director Matt Wetrich is excited to see what projects received funding, along with those that receive Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation grant funds.

“There’s a lot of great ones submitted this year and they have a really tough choice too. But again, a really big impact. These are two opportunities that people getting their submissions in for these grant opportunities and from what I’ve gathered a lot of people did take advantage of that opportunity and there’s going to be a lot of neat projects that are funded.”

The Community Foundation also receives funding from Grow Greene County to continue to provide grant opportunities to smaller projects.
