The next event in the Warren Cultural Center’s Locals and Legends series is next weekend.

The WCC will be hosting Tropical Steel, a steel drum band that’s been performing from the Des Moines area since 1997. Directed by founder Stan Dahl, the group will be playing some “sweet island music” with the soothing sounds of the Caribbean. The group plays calypso, soca, reggae and cha cha along with some disco and rock and roll. Tickets are available on the WCC’s website, and will also be available at the door. Admission is $20 for adults and free for students high school aged and younger.
