Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, along with Midwest Partnership will be presenting their last class from the Stay Independent Series offered by the Extension at Stuart Public Library.

This is the final of three classes that the Extension brought in this month, with the topic being “Spot, Stop, Avoid Fraud.” Extension Program Director Meghan McBride says the class shows individuals ways to protect themselves and others from falling victim to scams and fraud. She adds that it also goes over warning signs of these attacks, and shows individuals how to take action to protect themselves against theft of their money, property and belongings. McBride mentions that there will be a light lunch at noon, with the class to follow from 1-2pm. She asks that interested individuals contact the Stuart Public Library at 515-523-2152.
