The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Soccer team came up short Monday night in their season opener.

The Tigers began the 2024 soccer season against the Norwalk Warriors, losing 4-0. There wasn’t any scoring done by either team in the first 40 minutes of action. In the second half, Norwalk Senior Anna Larson had three shots on goal and capitalized on two of them. Also, Warriors’ Junior Braelyn Clark added a goal herself and one assist. Norwalk Goalie Emmory Toppenberg was able to stop multiple shots from ADM’s Jada Grove, Haley James, and Hannah Desmarais.

The Tigers lead the overall series matchup between the teams 9-4, but the Warriors have now won three of the last four. ADM’s next game will be tomorrow in Adel at 7pm, as they open Raccoon River Conference play, taking on the North Polk Comets.
