Haley James is a sophomore for Adel-DeSoto-Minburn, and she recalls the immediate warmth she felt last year on the soccer team.

James was apart of the Tiger team that qualified for state last year, contributing with 22 shots, one assist, one goal, and three points, appearing in 16 games. She learned a lot in her freshman year but remembers the nurturing environment as her teammates accepted her.

“I really loved how welcoming everyone was, and the new aspect of playing high school ball and then how everybody helped and taught me new things along the way.”

James is a midfielder and one of ADM’s five sophomores on the 2024 team this year and is looking to continue her development. The first game for the Tigers is on Monday as they host Norwalk in Adel at 7pm.
