The nine seniors on the Greene County boys’ high school soccer team are expected to lead the Rams and continue a winning tradition. This is the sixth season of boys’ soccer at Greene County High (there was no 2020 season due to the Pandemic) and the Rams have had winning seasons every year including three State tournament appearances.

Most of the seniors have been starters for head coach Carl Behne and assistant Chad Black. Gesser Gutierres is a returning first team All-State selection from 2023 after he scored 42 goals. Gabe Ebersole has been the starting goalkeeper since his freshman season. Jack Hansen and Nathan Behne are involved in three sports this Spring (soccer, golf, and track & field). Cody Allen expects to be cleared to play in the not-too-distant future following knee surgery after a football injury. Kolby Angell, Brynley Ruzicka, Landon Carstens,  Zeke Binkley and first year high school player Manuel Flores round out the senior class.

The Rams have a scrimmage at Denison this morning in Denison. The first two matches that count on the schedule will be varsity first, followed by JV, starting on March 26 in Boone, then in Jefferson on March 28 vs. West Marshall (State Center) due to the opposition being short on players.
