The second of the Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach and Stuart Public Library’s Stay Independent Series events is tomorrow.
Librarian Rachel Majerus says that the class will start with a light lunch, with the class to begin at 12:30pm. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio what the second event is about.
“The lesson is called ‘Planning Ahead for Future Care.’ In this, they’ll learn about the basics of future care planning and preparing for communicating with healthcare professionals and documents to help organize your medical history.”
Majerus mentions that there is still one more class after this one, and that the library is excited to be able to work with the Extension to offer them. Extension Program Director Meghan McBride adds that the three lessons that were scheduled for this month are only a small part of the entire series, and that she may schedule more should she see enough interest.
