The AC/GC Chargers baseball team recently made an announcement on a fun chance for the team this summer.

In their first match up against the Woodward-Granger Hawks, the two teams will not be facing off at either of their home fields, but at Werner Park, the home of the Omaha Stormchasers. The Stormchasers are the Minor League team that feeds players into the Kansas City Royals. Head Coach Taylor Morris says that the team had the chance to play in a stadium a few years ago, but hasn’t since. He adds that he did some looking around, and Werner Park was the place that he and the other coaches settled on, and that the team has worked to raise funds to be able to play there. The Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network will follow the Chargers and the Hawks to Werner Park, and broadcast the game live. At this time, first pitch for the varsity game is set for 2pm on June 10th.
