The Perry Chamber is now down to the final eight contestants for the Big Boom Bracket Battle, and Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti describes how the donation process works.

Pasutti, who was part of the original “Sweet As Pie 16” contestants, expresses her gratitude for the money raised so far to benefit the 4th of July Fireworks Drive. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that over $2,300 has been donated by the community during the opening round. Pasutti notes that the chamber is using ‘givebutter.com’ and explains a cool feature about it.

“I’m really excited about the online donation platform because anyone that donates right then and there can see that number change. They can see that number bump up for whoever they just ‘voted for,’ and then also the total too. Really fun to see all of that happening this time around.”

Pasutti says the contestants remaining are Perry Police Department Sergeant Alex Lott going against Larry Vodenik of HyVee, Kain Killmer from Perry High School versus Ivette Drahos from The Lazy Goose Boba Tea & Ice Cream, Heather Ketelsen of Perry High School is battling Jade Fellom from Blonde Sisters Boutique, and then Jackson VanKirk from Progressive Foundry taking on Andrea Tunink from Ben’s Five and Dime.

Pasutti reminds residents that voting for this round of the bracket is good through Tuesday at 11am. To help donate, visit https://givebutter.com/2024BBBB8.
