A couple of Adel employees were awarded certificates for their years of service at the city council meeting last night.
The meeting began with Mayor Jim Peters presenting Accounting Clerk Emily Light and Adel Library’s Patron Services Manager Amy Puck with a Certificate of Appreciation for their five years of service. Also, Ankeny Sanitation General Manager Dave Massey commented on the city of Adel’s commodity pricing increasing from $3 last year to $6 this year. He mentioned that spring cleanup in Adel is set for April 20th.
All items on the agenda were approved including the 2024-2025 goal setting session using an Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) with Lifetime Entrepreneur David Hickman in an amount not to exceed $3,000.
Other agenda items pertained to approving an ordinance for Southbridge Plat 3 between Highway 169 and 302nd Street, an ordinance for Southbridge Plat 8 between Highway 169 and Bradfield Street, adopting plans and specifications for the Evans Park Trails Connection project, a resolution of a budget transfer for a sewer utility fund and lift station, approving the engineering services agreement between Adel and McClure for the Adel Wastewater Treatment Plant and Administration Building project, approving the engineering services agreement between Adel and McClure for the Evans Park Trail Connection project, an ordinance for a bicycle license, and the council ended the meeting entering a close session.
The next Adel City Council meeting will be on Monday, March 25th at 6pm at Adel City Hall, 301 S 10th Street.
