The 4th of July is fast approaching, and it is routinely the busiest weekend of the year out at Lake Panorama.
As residents begin preparing for the 4th, the Lake Panorama Association has issued a few notices to lake users that they feel will help ensure a safe, fun weekend for all.
First off, the LPA asks that boaters remember to keep running lights on during the annual fireworks display scheduled for dusk on Saturday, July 5th. Residents are reminded that any personal fireworks display must have a permit from Guthrie County.
With the lake expected to be crowded over the 4th, the LPA suggests that only experienced operators drive vessels during peak hours. Knowing and adhering to your boat’s capacity rating is important.
It is likely the Lake Patrol will close the Narrows area to towing and skiing during the holiday weekend because of the dangers that can arise during heavy boating traffic hours. The LPA asks residents to adhere to this closure.
Finally, the LPA says party time noise has to wind down at about 11pm over the 4th of July weekend. This standard has long been established at the lake and LPA Security will be enforcing the 11pm time limit.
Anyone with questions about the lake’s 4th of July rules and regulations can call the LPA Office at 641-755-2301.
