The Adair County Extension Clover Kids are ever closer to their goal on collecting plastic bags.

The group is collecting enough plastic bags to recycle into a picnic table that they plan to donate to the Adair County Fairgrounds. To make the table, 500 pounds of bags are required, and at a recent weighing, the Clover Kids have collected 403 pounds, which amounts to roughly 26,937 individual bags that have been kept out of the landfill. This leaves the group with only 97 pounds of plastic bags left to collect. To help the Clover Kids reach their goal, plastic bags can be brought in to the Extension Office.
