A reminder that tonight is a fundraising opportunity for one local Greene County fire department.

The Paton Fire Department Annual Firemen’s Stag is tonight starting at 5:30pm at the fire station. The event includes a smoked pork chop dinner with sides and a drink for $20 per person and then everyone can enjoy casino-style games. Fire Chief Jonathan Marshall says the proceeds will go back to the fire department to continue to update their bunker gear. He points out the bunker gear is what firefighters wear when they respond to fires and that equipment has a shelf life, which they will always need to update.
