A Scranton man was recently arrested on a warrant from an alleged incident that happened last December.
According to court documents, on December 2, 2023, a Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a call about a back window of a vehicle that was broken out at a home in the 400 block of 19th Street North in Grand Junction. During the investigation, the victim said he was communicating with an individual who was involved with the suspect, 27-year-old Jacob Vreugdenhil. The victim believed that was the reason why he thought Vreugdenhil would damage the vehicle. The damage to the vehicle was about $4,600.
When questioned about the incident, Vreugdenhil and another individual that the victim identified as being at the victim’s residence earlier in the evening, denied being at the victim’s home. Vreugdenhil was then charged with a Class D Felony for second degree criminal mischief and a serious misdemeanor for trespassing-injury or damage greater than $500.
Court documents show that an arrest warrant was issued on December 18, 2023 and Vreugdenhil was arrested on February 24th at a home in Scranton. He was booked and then released from the Greene County Jail after posting a $6,000 bond. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
