A Stuart man is facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges.

According to court documents, the Adair County Sheriff’s Office responded to an alleged domestic disturbance at 2:12am on February 12th at a residence in the 1300 block of Stuart Road. The victims told the deputy that a verbal argument turned physical as 46-year-old Lee Goll threw a bottle at the TV and ripped the TV off of the wall and threw it across the room.

Court documents show that Goll assaulted one of the victims with a wooden chair and grabbed two knives and threatened to kill the victims. One of the victims escaped and hit Lee in the head several times to keep him down after Lee tripped and fell down. The victim that escaped drove the other victim’s vehicle and reported the incident because the victim had no cellphone.

A description of Lee’s vehicle was given to law enforcement, which the same vehicle was seen by authorities coming back to the residence in the 1300 block of Stuart Road. Law enforcement discovered it was the other victim that said they dropped Lee off in Ankeny before returning home. The second victim said during the incident Lee allegedly grabbed an object to use in a threatening manner and demanded the victim give him their firearm. The victim felt they had no choice and once Goll had the loaded firearm he threatened to kill the other victim and shot two to three rounds off inside the residence. Lee then demanded the victim drive him to Ankeny.
During the investigation, the deputy found two bullet holes inside the home and other evidence that indicated a physical altercation had occurred.

Goll was arrested and charged with a Class B felony, 1st degree robbery, two Class C felonies, intimidation with a dangerous weapon to injure/provoke and 3rd degree kidnapping, and three Class D felonies, control of a firearm or offensive weapon by a domestic abuse offender, control of a firearm by a felon and going armed with intent. Goll is also charged with two counts of 1st degree harassment, an aggravated misdemeanor and one count of 1st offense domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness. He was booked and remains in the Adair County Jail under a $300,000 cash-only bond. A no contact order was also issued with the two victims.
