The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Basketball team look forward to another Raccoon River Conference opponent tonight at Waukee High School for a State Berth on the line.
The ADM Tigers are coming off an exciting comeback game vs. the Carroll Tigers Thursday night. ADM trailed the entire game until the final four minutes of the fourth when Sophomore’s Hudson Shull and Hudson Lorensen, plus Senior Adam Bryte all capitalizing on huge three’s to propel the Tigers to the 52-45 win. ADM sits at 20-3 overall at the number one seed in the Class 3A State 8 Region and will be facing the second-seeded Bondurant-Farrar Bluejays.
During the regular season, ADM won both matchups. The first coming at home on December 8th (61-54) and then January 19th on the road, winning 74-63. Neither win was easy as ADM had to convert on big baskets down the stretch. Lorensen anticipates the matchup tonight.
“Obviously Bondurant’s tough and they play good basketball, but I’m confident in our team, I’m confident in where we are, we’ve made plays all year and hopefully we can go get another dub.”
The game tonight will be played at a neutral site at Waukee High School at 7pm. Raccoon Valley Radio will carry the coverage on K1079 and the KKRF Mobile app. Listen to the full thoughts of both Lorensen and Assistant Coach Trenton Hilbrands.
