Perry High School brought 15 student council members to the Central Leadership Conference this past Tuesday at Johnston High School.

According to Perry Student Council Advisor Brenda Mintun, Johnston High School invited all Iowa schools for free, asking them to bring soccer gear and equipment as donations to help out youth that receive help from the Des Moines Refugee Support organization. Perry chaperoned 15 students to the trip and brought  donations. 

According to a press release from Johnston High School, the conference’s theme was “Mastering the Art of Leadership,” which featured Keynote Speaker Maggi Thorne preparing students on how to overcome obstacles in life. The full list of students that attended the conference are below.
