A Glidden man was recently sentenced to jail and probation for an incident that happened in Greene County.

According to court documents, 29-year-old Robert Pool pled guilty to an amended charge of a serious misdemeanor for eluding, as well as another serious misdemeanor for his first offense for possession of marijuana. He was ordered to serve 21 days in the Greene County Jail and then be placed on probation for one year with the Boone and Greene County Probation Services.

The charges stemmed when Pool was speeding on a motorcycle on November 13th. A Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy pursued Pool who was initially speeding at 73 miles per hour on US Highway 30 in a 55mph zone. When the chase ensued, speeds reached 122mph. The motorcycle eventually came to a stop. Pool was found in possession of marijuana and he had a loaded handgun as well. 

As per the plea agreement, the other serious misdemeanor for carrying a dangerous weapon was dismissed.
