The next multi-week program about preventing dementia with Greene County Public Health begins next week.

The program, “Unlocking Brain Fitness: Keys to Dementia Prevention” is a ten-week course that is held on Tuesdays from 10am-noon at the Greene County Medical Center Education Center. Participants will learn about diet, exercise, sleep, chronic diseases, medications, water intake, stress, hearing and socialization can impact someone and reduce their risk of developing dementia as much as 70 percent.

Greene County Public Health Director Becky Wolf is appreciative of their partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association and the YMCA of Greater Des Moines who are going to help facilitate and lead the program. Contact Greene County Public Health to register at 515-386-3228.
