In a game heard on K107.9 True Country music last night , Panorama traveled to Marshalltown where they took down Denver, 59-55 in overtime.  The win advances the Panthers into the quarterfinals of the state tournament.  The win also gives Panorama the Regional crown for a third straight year.

The goal going in was for Panorama to play fast and push in transition.  The Panthers would spot the Cyclones four points.  Early and often they did play fast and built a lead after one, 18-10.  Denver would keep it close at half, but Panorama would still lead, 29-20.  The Cyclones would hit five 3’s in the third to  take a one lead into the fourth.   Thanks to missed free throws Panorama could hit a tying layup as time expired.  The end of the fourth wasn’t enough as we were tied at 52-52. Final 59-55.

Panorama is now 23-1 as the season ends for Denver at 16-8.

The Panthers were led last night by Tyme Boettcher with 28 points.

Panorama will now play Wednesday morning at 10A in the state tournament quarterfinals in Des Moines at Wells Fargo Arena.  The Panthers will take on Grundy Center.  The Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network and K107.9 will broadcast the game.
