The Mary J Barnett Memorial Library has one big event left before the end of the month.

Library Director Jerri Hawkins says that this weekend the Library and Friends of the Guthrie Center Library will be hosting a trivia night for the entire community to enjoy. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that this isn’t the first time they’ve held the event.

“So the Friends of the Library did a trivia night last year, and we had some good success with it, and I think everybody enjoyed themselves that night. So we’re really looking forward to doing it again this year. So this year we’re doing it at the Guthrie Center Activity Center just to allow for a few more tables, and hopefully get a few more people to come join us.”

Hawkins shares that festivities will begin Saturday with a dinner starting at 6pm, and the trivia games beginning at 7pm. She adds that teams may consist of up to eight people, and that alcoholic beverages will be available for a free will donation. A meal ticket and trivia night entry is $35, and to sign up interested individuals may register on the library’s website.
