The Perry Chamber of Commerce is looking ahead to an exciting event next month after a busy February.

The Chamber started February off strong with the 47th Annual Bike Ride to Rippey and the 21st Annual Chocolate Walk. Chamber Executive Director Lynsi Pasutti tells Raccoon Valley Radio that although they have a bit of a break, the Chamber is still planning for the next event in March, with their Big Boom Bracket Battle.

“Which is a bracket-style contest that raises funds for the (4th of July) fireworks (drive). So we’re just doing a lot of the behind the scenes work right now to get ready for some of the summer activities and events.”

The City of Perry describes the process of the contest is to pair community members against each other to face off in competitions over four weeks, with donations helping to advance contestants.
