The Youth Services Department of the Jefferson Public Library has a couple of programs coming up this month.

Youth in grades kindergarten through eighth are invited to enjoy a free movie and snack movie night with the showing of “How to Train Your Dragon” this Thursday. The event is from 5-7pm in the basement of the library, while also enjoying snacks from the Peony Chinese restaurant in Jefferson to celebrate the Lunar New Year in Chinese culture. The deadline to sign up is tomorrow. 

Youth Services Librarian Bailey Mount says another Table Top Theatre program takes place next Thursday from 6-8pm with “Heart of the Cards Night” including Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh. These programs take place in the basement of the Sierra Community Theatre with the Pokemon League from 6-7pm and Yu-Gi-Oh from 7-8pm for youth in fourth through 12th grades. While both programs are free, snacks are available for purchase at the concession stand. Registration for those events can be found below.
