An Adel man passed away yesterday as the passenger of a single vehicle crash.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Offices reports that around 4am yesterday morning, a single vehicle crash occurred in the 1000 Block of Pitzer Road. During the investigation, Madison County Sheriff deputies identified 42-year-old Jonathan Dale Taylor, of Adel to be the passenger in the vehicle. Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene. 

According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, the driver of the vehicle was 30-year-old Charles Kegan Lohoff, of Creston, who was transported to a Des Moines hospital for treatment. The Sheriff’s Office says the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
