
The Greene County varsity basketball teams have completed the home portion of the schedule and they hit the road to Gowrie tonight to face the Southeast Valley teams. The Rams are 1-18 on the season in both girls and boys basketball, the fewest combined wins in a season since becoming Greene County more than a decade ago. The Greene County teams have been dealing with a series of injuries, especially the girls. the latest coming on Friday night when leading scorer Becca Anderson went down in the first half vs. Saydel (Des Moines). She did not play at all on Saturday vs. Perry.
The Jaguars have a 10-8 record in girls’ basketball and are 2-15 on the boys’ side.
Tonight’s games can be heard on KG98. Coverage begins at 5:45 p.m. with the girls playing at 6 o’clock and the boys to follow. The Rams stay on the road tomorrow night to end the regular season at Perry.
