The Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach reminds area 4-H’ers about a unique opportunity.
Applications to be a part of the Iowa State 4-H Council are being accepted, but need to be turned in by 11:59pm on Thursday. The Council is composed of 40 high school juniors and seniors who are ambassadors for 4-H, with one of the major responsibilities being the planning of the Iowa 4-H youth Conference every June. To apply for a position, members need to be a sophomore or junior when they apply, with their term starting in the upcoming June and lasting until July the following year. Applicants may try for a second year should they still meet requirements. To apply, visit the website in this story online.
