A Jefferson man was sentenced for an October incident.

According to court documents, 27-year-old Joshua Parrish pled guilty to an aggravated misdemeanor for third degree criminal mischief, and two serious misdemeanors for domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury, and assault causing bodily injury. He had a two year prison sentence for the aggravated misdemeanor suspended, and all but 14 days suspended of a 180 day county jail sentence for each of the serious misdemeanors. Those sentences were to be served consecutively for a total of 28 days in the county jail, and then he is to be placed on probation for two years.

The charges stemmed from an incident on October 30th. Parrish was involved in a physical altercation at a home in the 300 block of West Reed Street. Injuries inflicted on the two victims were consistent with assault. The criminal mischief charge was for damage that Parrish caused to the interview room that he was first placed in at the Greene County Jail.

Court documents show that Parrish was ordered to pay over $1,700 in surcharges, court costs, court-appointed attorney fees, fines and victim restitution. As per the plea agreement, there is a no contact order with the victims for one year and the misdemeanors for disorderly conduct and interference with official acts were dismissed.
