The Perry Boys Scouts of America Troop 127 successfully overshot the amount of stuffed teddy bears collected as they continue to donate to students in the community.
The local Perry group of boys and girls set out to gift teddy bears to all the students in Perry following the shooting incident at the high school on January 4th. A representative that helps run Troop 127 says the group stopped counting after the 4,000 mark. The representative estimates that there are a rough number of 2,000 students between the four school buildings in Perry.
Perry BSA Troop 127 delivered to St. Patrick’s last week when they returned to school. Tuesday, Perry Elementary was awarded with bears and Wednesday night, the scouts delivered to the middle school. The high school is on the list, expecting to get bears closer to when school resumes the following Wednesday.
