Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Schools will welcome a new football coach this fall.
ADM High School has hired Doug Winkowitsch as the next Head Coach for the Tigers. Winkowitsch has been coaching in Iowa for the last 29 years, spending the last 20 at West Delaware High School. While with the Hawks, Winkowitsch posted a record of 157-58 with 15 playoff appearances. He sits at 196 career wins, ranking 14th among current Iowa High School Football coaches. Winkowitsch was named Class 3A Coach of the Year in 2010 as well as being named district coach of the year 10 times.
Winkowitsch graduated from Westmar College in 1994 with K-12 Physical Education and Biology degrees, plus a minor in Psychology. He went on to receive his Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Wayne State College and an Administration Degree from Buena Vista University.
ADM finished last season with a record of 10-2, and while Winkowitsch explains that he’s sad to be leaving West Delaware High School, he’s honored to become the next head coach at ADM, according to a news release from ADM Schools.
