Coach Kirk Davis watched his Greene County wrestlers pick up a pair of non-conference victories in Manson on Tuesday night vs. non-conference Class 1A opponents Manson-Northwest Webster and CAM (Anita). Those were the final dual meets of the season for the Rams, who finish with a 12-7 record after a 57-21 win vs. CAM and a 66-12 victory over M-NWW.
Jaclson Turner recorded falls in both his matches. Marcus Ball (215/285) was 2-0 with a major decision and a regular decision. Rams going 2-0 with a fall and a forfeit were Brennan Jacobs (113), Gavyn Winters (120), Jacob Harmeyer (126), Crew Conner (138), and Brent Dennhardt (165). Gavyn Scheuermann (157) wrestled once and won by technical fall with Eli Schroeder (190) went 1-0 with a forfeit, as did Nehemiah Hoyt (157). Kolby Angell (132), Zeke Binkley (144) and Degan Miller (175) all were 1-1 with the victory by fall.
Greene County wrestles on Saturday in Guthrie Center at the ACGC Charger Invitational. Because of being weathered out of events earlier this month, an addition has been made to the schedule. The Rams will travel to Adel for a tournament hosted by ADM on Saturday, Feb. 3 with a 10 a.m. start. The postseason begins on Feb. 10 for a Class 2A District Tournament in Atlantic.
