One group in Guthrie County has a deadline for scholarship applications approaching.

Guthrie County Farm Bureau is accepting applications for County Scholarships and the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation State Scholarship. The IFBF Scholarship is a $2,500 scholarship which is renewable for four years. Applicants must be Farm Bureau members. Of those that receive a County Scholarship, one will be selected to receive the IFBF State Scholarship. Applicants must also have at least a 2.5 grade point average, be involved in extracurricular activities and be accepted to an accredited higher education institution like a community college, trade school or four year college.
