It was a clean sweep for several Greene County High School students at this past weekend’s speech competition.
GCHS sent seven entries in six different categories with 32 students competing at the Iowa High School Speech Association District Large Group Contest at Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School. Speech Coach Kelley Gray says all entries received a Division I-rating and have advanced to the state contest. The entries included two for Radio Broadcasting, along with Reader’s Theater, Choral Reading, Short Film, Group Improvisation, and Musical Theater.
Greene County will head to Ankeny Centennial High School on Saturday, February 3rd for the state contest. The full list of the students and their speech entries can be found below.
