A non-profit women organization recently announced its scholarship winner in Greene County.

The PEO Chapter CZ awarded the 2023 recipient of a $400 scholarship to Katie Marshall of Marion. Marshall is completing her bachelor’s degree in early childhood administration from Purdue University Global. Katie is married to Adam Marshall, a Greene County native, and her mother-in-law Kathy Marshall recommended Katie for the scholarship.

Katie earned her associate’s degree from Hawkeye Community College in 2015 and has worked in early childhood education for a decade. 

This scholarship has been offered by PEO Chapter CZ to local women or those with local connections who are continuing their education since 1990. P.E.O. is an international philanthropic organization where women celebrate the advancement of women; educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans, and stewardship of Cottey College and motivate women to achieve their highest aspirations.
