After two weeks off due to weather, both ADM teams come out with wins in Bondurant.
Girls
The Tiger girls defeated the Bluejays of Bondurant-Farrar 67-30, while never trailing in the game. ADM had four players in double figures with Madelyn Roundcount scoring a team high 12 points, Kelli Storck had 11 and Lauren Hagedorn and Alexis Maxwell chipped in with 10 each. For Bondurant-Farrar, they were led by Chesney Steenhoek, who finished with 14.
The Tigers improved to 5-8 overall (3-5 in Raccoon Valley Conference), while the Bluejays drop to 4-9 overall (2-7 RVC).
Boys
ADM’s boys team got timely buckets from key players down the stretch. The Tigers and Bluejays were pretty close in the first half as ADM led by as many as 10, but took a eight point advantage to the locker room. The lead would grow to as big as 13 but there was no quit in Bondurant-Farrar as they marched back on an extended 13-0 after trailing 54-43 to eventually take a 56-54 lead over ADM.
However, the Tigers never panicked. Instead went to main players who scored in the right time for them including Rhylan Stine-Smith, who led the charge for the Tigers finishing with 18 points and had several key assists. Grant Rychnovsky added 17 of his own, Adam Bryte contributed with 13, shooting well from deep making three 3s and Hudson Shull added 11 points while also draining three 3s.
ADM Boys improve to 10-1 overall (8-0 RVC) and Bondurant-Farrar drop to 6-5 overall (5-5 RVC). Tiger teams will be returning to the floor on Tuesday, January 23rd for another road game at North Polk High School. The broadcast will be available to listen to on K1079 with the girls beginning at 6pm.
