Paton-Churdan lost a girl/boy basketball doubleheader in Churdan to Coon Rapids-Bayard on Friday night in Rolling Valley Activities Conference play. The P-C girls are 0-12 and the boys are 0-13.

The CR-B girls are ranked number 12 in Class 1A by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union and the Crusaders cruised to a 66-12 win. The Rockets had four points from freshmen Alivya Smith and Ava Minnehan. Malia Clayburg scored 17 points for CR-B.

CR-B won the boys’ game 78-24 behind 25 points from Cade Behrens. P-C was led in scoring by Trevon Keely with 10 points. Bryce Stephenson had eight points with six from Phoenix Hartman.
